Springtime fun!

In the spirit of updating this blog, here's what happened this spring:

Alex had his kinder spring program (Bugz!) and PARTICIPATED! For years, he has avoided singing or even looking at the crowd at his preschool programs. He has turned to the side and ignored us all. We've even had to bribe him onto the stage with Star Wars toys. This year, he was a little nervous, but he sang, did the motions, and even smiled and bowed at the end! We were so proud of him!!

Ross & I celebrated our 10 year anniversary on May 6! I pulled out all of our wedding memorabilia (including the bride & groom ears from our honeymoon to Disney), and the boys had a blast watching the wedding video and running around being husband and wife. They will hate me for this picture someday, but it's so stinkin' cute!Daddy had to travel to Germany over Mother's Day, so he helped the boys learn how to make me breakfast in bed. This is the recipe (resapy):
This is the end product. I could hear them banging around the kitchen for awhile and had to warn them not to come into my room until 7 am. They were hoping they could wake up at 5:30 and get working, but I told them 6:45 would probably give them enough time. :) Sweet boys! They were so proud of themselves!

Scouting Crossover

Sadly, Facebook is taking up most of my time these days. I just realized that I haven't updated the blog since Easter, but if you want to see current pictures, get on Facebook and "friend" me already! (This means you, mom!)
Anyway, Andrew had his crossover ceremony last weekend where he moved from Wolf Scouts to Bear Scouts (all under the Cub scout name). The kid doesn't like sports or other large group activities, but he does love scouts (mostly because he can do it with mom or dad). He received his war paint...symbolizing something or another...and crossed over a small bridge to receive his new bandana and book. Best of all, the mosquitos left us alone and the weather stayed below 90 degrees. We survived! :)
